Patrick Autréaux (1968) worked as an emergency psychiatrist for several years before devoting himself completely to writing in 2006. Author of unique works that explore the relationships between medicine and literature, particularly his celebrated trilogy dedicated to illness (Dans la Vallée des larmes, Soigner, Se survivre). Each experience is narrated in an intimate, poetic tone. His latest book is Pussyboy (2021), which tells of a union between two men who maintain a tacit pact of chance sexual encounters.
