Anthropology graduate from the University of Panama, Master's degree in Museum Studies from the University of Valladolid, and PhD in Society and Culture from the University of Barcelona. She has been Deputy Director of the National Directorate of Historical Heritage of the Panamanian National Institute of Culture. She is a guest lecturer for the Master's degree in Cultural Heritage Management at the University of Panama and a museography and education consultant for the Patronato Panamá Viejo. She has worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank and for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute of Panama as an assessor of educational programmes. She has carried out museography work at a national and international level. She is a founding member of the Anthropology and History Association of Panama and a founding partner of Antropologías Asociados, a cultural heritage consulting company.
