Jorge Jaime Valdez (Peru). Social communicator and photographer. Master’s in Communication, with a mention in Communication for Development. He is a lecturer at the Continental University. He was the winner of the Nuestros Relatos National Contest in the Professional Photography category, Central region, organized by the Bicentennial Project of the Ministry of Culture in 2020. He was a finalist in the Journalistic Photography category at the National Journalism Awards convened by the Institute of Press and Society (IPYS) and the National University of San Marcos in 2022. He was a finalist for the 13th Space-Time Documentary Photography Contest, organized by the UPAO of Trujillo and the Centro de la Imagen in Lima. He is currently General Editor of the Polirritmos cultural magazine. He was the Photographic Editor of the book of articles Largo aliento: sudores, mitos y héroes del fondismo wanka published by the Continental University (2019) and was Editor of the cultural publication Whynot Magazine as well as a contributor to the Godard! film magazine. He has participated in multiple group photography exhibitions, and had his first solo exhibition Sur Wanca at the Continental University in 2017. He contributes to different publications, cultural magazines and books by various authors at national and international level with photographs and journalism.
