Hernán Díaz (Buenos Aires, 1973) grew up in Sweden and has spent most of his life in the United States. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from New York University and teaches at Columbia University. He has written the essay Borges, Between History and Eternity and the novel In the Distance, a finalist for the Pulitzer and PEN/Faulkner prizes. He has contributed to publications such as The Paris Review, Granta, Playboy, The Yale Review, McSweeney's and The New York Times. In Anagrama he has just published Trust, included in the list of the best books of the year by The New York Times and which will be adapted for the screen by HBO, starring Kate Winslet.
