Óscar Álvarez is Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Geosciences at the University of the North. He is a Civil Engineer, Master in Water Resources Engineering and PhD in Marine Sciences. Senior Researcher of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia. He is a researcher in physical oceanography of coastal areas and marine renewable energy prospecting.
