The Big Band of the Cultural Unit of Comfenalco from Cartagena, led by saxophonist Fabián Flórez, is composed of students who are part of the Escuela de Artes de Comfenalco. In the last 12 years, the Comfenalco Big Band has participated in several concerts and festivals held in different venues in the city of Cartagena, where they have shown the process they are carrying out with their students and have allowed many of their graduates to take part in important national and international programmes. The traces of the Comfenalco Big Band, as a cultural laboratory and seedbed of talent, transcend beyond the borders of the School of Arts and Music to reach the stages of Hay Cartagena.
