She is an investigative journalist with a degree in Social Communication from the Central University of Venezuela, with more than 20 years of experience covering violence, citizen security, organised crime and Human Rights. She was editor of the politics and crime pages of the newspaper
El Nacional and research director of the digital media Runrun.es, where she created the Monitor de Víctimas, a data journalism platform that was a finalist in the Data Journalism Awards 2018. She was a finalist for the 2016 Gabriel García Márquez Journalism Award and was part of the team of journalists who worked on the Panama Papers investigation project.
