(Logroño, 1978) He has worked as a civil engineer building roads and bridges in Spain, Ireland, the Middle East and the United States. He currently runs The Wild Detectives bookshop in Dallas, Texas, which opened to the public in 2014. Since its opening, this small shop has hosted more than 700 events. Writers of the stature of Ben Fountain, Roger Reeves, Sarah Hepola, Chris Kraus, Carmen Boullosa, Leni Zumas, Verónica Gerber Bicecci and Alma Guillermoprieto and artists such as Bill Callahan, the Meridian Brothers, Damien Jurado and Lloyd Cole have passed through. The Wild Detectives was selected by the local press as the best bookshop in Dallas in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2021 and is nationally recognized as one of the bookshops at the forefront of the renaissance of independent bookstores in the United States.
