Kathy SERRANO

Kathy Serrano (San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, 1968). Peruvian-Venezuelan actress, theatre director and writer. Master of Arts from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts in St. Petersburg. Her short stories appear in Una voz que existe (Planeta, 2019), Historias mínimas. Microficción (Dendro, 2020), El día que regresamos (Pandemonium, 2020), En el camino. Relatos sobre mujeres que lucharon por la Independencia del Perú (Petroperú, 2021) and Ucrónica. Alternative routes to reality (Pandemonium, 2021). She directs creative writing labs at the creative writing school "La isla". Her first book, Húmedos, sucios y violentos (Estruendomudo, 2020), was nominated for best book of short stories in the Luces 2020 Prize of the newspaper El Comercio. Her most recent book is the novel El dolor de la sangre (Planeta, 2022).
