Founding Partner of INTELFIN. PhD in Economics from Yale University, BA in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico. University professor and columnist for the newspaper Gestión. Author of numerous books and articles. His most recent books include: La tragedia de las empresas sin dueño. El caso Petroperú (Lima, November 2020) and Resilientes pero no indolentes. Reflexiones sobre la crisis peruana (Lima, July 2022). Dr. Paredes has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperu, Head of the Cabinet of Advisors of the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance, Executive Director of GRADE, Research Associate at the Brookings Institution (Washington, D.C.) and has served as a director of several companies, consultant to multilateral organisations and professor of economics and business at several Peruvian universities in the country.
