Karla Iberia Sánchez is an investigative journalist and news anchor. She is a member of the Los Reporteros team. She has been the presenter of the early afternoon news programme Titular de Las Noticias for the principal Grupo Televisa channel, and Las Noticias desde México for Univisión. She is the winner of the International Ondas Award, a San Francisco VideoFest award and the International Journalism for Tolerance Award. She was recognized by the National Academy for Television Arts and Sciences for her coverage of September 11, she was made a #JournoHero by The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, awarded by the University of Texas at Austin, recognized by the International Women's Media Foundation, and winner of the Gabino Barreda medal. National Speaking award-winner and TED Speaker, Karla Iberia Sánchez is a Journalism graduate from UNAM and was a Journalism Studies scholar at the Reuters Institute for the study of Journalism at the University of Oxford.
