Andrés Mompotes is the general manager of El Tiempo, the newspaper with the largest readership in Colombia across its digital and print platforms. He is also in charge of the convergence with other media of this publishing house such as the newspapers Portafolio and ADN and the channel CityTV. He has worked for this media for 28 years and previously held a position of Deputy Director. He has been responsible for the digital transformation of the newsroom and has led projects such as the creation of the first podcast platform, the updating of the editorial manual and the implementation of the Multimedia Journalism School. He has been awarded with the journalism prize of the Círculo de Periodistas de Bogotá (CPB) and the Simón Bolívar Prize, among others. He is an academically trained journalist and holds a Master's degree in Political Studies.
