Director of the newspaper El Colombiano, Sierra has been a panellist for BluRadio’s Mañanas Blu, General Editor of Semana magazine, and variously Chief Writer, International Editor and Justice Editor at El Tiempo. She has been Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and advisor to the Ministry of Education and the Presidential Counsel for Medellin. She is a Journalism graduate with a Master’s degree in Politics specializing in Public Opinion. She has won five national journalism awards (three Simón Bolívar, one given by the Bogota Círculo de Periodistas and the last a Construcción de Memoria award given by Medios para la Paz); the Latin American Investigative Journalism prize, awarded by Ipys; and an Inter American Press Association Award.
