César Rendueles was born in Girona in 1975 and grew up in Gijón. He currently lives in Madrid and works as a tenured scientist at the The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). He also lectures in Sociology at the Complutense University, and is a researcher and translator. He has run cultural projects for the Madrid Círculo de Bellas Artes. He has published the non-fiction books Sociofobia (2013) and Capitalismo canalla (Seix Barral, 2015), which have consolidated his reputation as an outstanding thinker on the current scene. His latest books are Contra la igualdad de oportunidades (2020) and The Commons (Routledge, 2023).
