Tracy Bonfitto is Curator of Art at the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin. Before joining the HRC in 2017, she was a lecturer at UCLA in the Department of Art History, and previously held research and curatorial positions at the Getty Research Institute, the Fowler Museum at UCLA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History from UCLA, master's degrees in Museum Studies and in South Asian Cultures and Languages, and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. Her recent research considers narratives of conservation surrounding site-specific artworks, and she is currently organizing an exhibition on American printmaker Elizabeth Olds.
