For the last 17 years she has lived in the Amazon region of Madre de Dios, a Peruvian region of great biodiversity. She founded the organization ARBIO PerĂº (2010) to manage a 916-hectare forest, implementing conservation tools that link people and companies with the study of and care for the Amazon rainforest. She is a board member of the International Analog Forestry Network which promotes the restoration of ecosystems that support the planet. In 2019 she received the international conservation award, the Jane Goodall Hope and Inspiration Ranger Award in Nepal, granted by the International Ranger Federation, The Thin Green Line and the International Union for Conservation of Nature/World Commission of Protected Areas (IUCN/WCPA). That same year she received an award given by SERFOR (the Peruvian National Forestry and Wildlife Service) recognizing the pioneering work of ARBIO PerĂº in conserving forests. At the beginning of 2020 she received an award for merit given by the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations for her work in caring for and protecting the environment, as well as the preservation of biodiversity.
