Dan Collyns is a journalist and documentary maker covering Latin America, based in Lima, Peru, since 2006. He covers everything from archaeology to drug trafficking but with a focus on the environment and human rights. He is a regular contributor to The Guardian, the BBC, CGTN America and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, and has written for the New York Review of Books. He’s won several awards and recognitions for his coverage of Latin America, including for the film The Adventures of Wonder Woman: Inside the War Against Illegal Gold Mining in Peru’s Amazon from the Overseas Press Club of America and the Society of Environmental Journalists.
