Feminist, Doctor of Arts from the University of Guanajuato with post-doctoral studies at the University of Barcelona with tutor Meri Torras. She has a Master’s in Visual Arts, specializing in painting, from UNAM’s Academia de San Carlos, and a degree in Visual Arts from UAQ’s Faculty of Fine Arts. She is currently a professor in the Department of Art and Performance at the same faculty. A visual artist with international individual and group exhibitions to her name. She has participated in artistic residencies and courses in Spain, Cuba, New York, Argentina, Costa Rica and Canada and has been a conference speaker in Queretaro, Puebla, Guadalajara, Morelia, Hidalgo, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Nicaragua and Cuba. She has received various prizes and recognitions for her painting and has published in various Mexican and international books and magazines specializing in artistic and feminist studies. A PECDA-Young Artists fellow in 2005. Her work can be found in collections in Mexico and abroad.
