Luciana Kaplan has dedicated her career to directing, promoting and teaching documentary film. She is currently a fellow of the National Artists Network. Her films Rush Hour, La Revolución de los Alcatraces and La Vocera have won plaudits and awards both in Mexico and abroad. She has also been on the jury for, and advised, various documentary projects over the past fifteen years. She ran the Ambulante scholarships programme for documentary post-production and was coordinator of the documentary course at the Cinematographic Education Centre. She is currently working on her fourth feature-length documentary: Tratado de Invisibilidad.
