Emiliano Becerril Silva is the head of Elefanta Publishers, which he founded in 2011. This enterprise involves the publication of fiction, poetry, essay, photography and art. As a publisher he has attended international fairs in Istanbul, Frankfurt, Turin, Bogota and Guadalajara, and has also been to different parts of Mexico and Puerto Rico in connection with the trade. He opened the Bucardón bookshop in Mexico City. He is a radio producer and author of the series Otros principios, entrevistas a los últimos refugiados que han llegado a México, broadcast on Radio UNAM in collaboration with UNHCR. He has contributed to a range of media publications, including Nexos, La jornada semanal, Letras Libres, Excelsior and Este País. Some of his articles have been translated into French (for the Courrier international) and Turkish (K24). He has translated various articles and other texts from the Portuguese, as well as the novel Los leopardos de Kafka, by Moacyr Scliar (Elefanta Editorial, 2017) and, from French, the children's book Zeno en Venecia (Nostra Ediciones, 2009). He also worked at the Morelia Film Festival and the Instrumenta music festival in Oaxaca. He has a degree in Communication from the UIA.
