Remedios Zafra (Zuheros, Cordoba, 1973) is a writer and senior scientist at the Higher Council for Scientific Research’s Institute of Philosophy. She has lectured in Anthropology, Politics of the Gaze and Gender Studies. Her works critical studies of contemporary culture, artistic creation and the Internet. She is the author of El entusiasmo. Precariedad y trabajo creativo en la era digital (Anagrama Essay Award and the Estado Crítico Award), Ojos y capital, (h)adas, Un cuarto propio conectado and Netianas, among others. Her work has obtained the Meridiana Prize for Culture; the El Público Award for Writing; the Malaga Essay Prize; the Catalan Journalists’ Association Communication Award; the Caja Madrid Essay Prize; the Leonor de Guzmán Chair Award and the Carmen de Burgos Essay Prize. Her most recent book is Frágiles.
