Marta Altés (Barcelona, 1982) studied Graphic Design in Barcelona and, after working in that profession for five years, decided to pursue her interest in illustration, an interest she has had since she was a child. In 2009 she moved to England and did a Master’s in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Since she graduated she has been working as an illustrator in London. She has published over 10 books, and her work has been translated into over 20 languages. She tries to keep a positive, fun viewpoint on life, and raising a smile from those who see her pictures or read her stories is what she most loves about illustration.
