Social Communications and Journalism graduate from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana with a Master’s in Humanities from the EAFIT University. She is a specialist in the semiotics of communicative interaction and also in urban journalism; she has also been a Professor of Humanities at EAFIT, and has published work on art-related subjects for different media organizations and publishing houses. Her long cultural and artistic career has been spent in Medellin. Between 2012 and 2015 she was the city’s Secretary of Citizen Culture. Before this, she worked as a Coordinator of Cultural Dissemination at EAFIT University and was Culture Editor for El Mundo newspaper. She is currently the director of the Museum of Antioquia.
