Juan Carlos MORENO ROMO

moreno-romo-juan-carlos Juan Carlos Moreno Romo has a degree in Philosophy from UNAM and took a doctorate in the same subject at the University of Strasbourg, France. He is a Member of the National Scholars’ Network, and is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Querétaro. Author of many specialist articles, he has published the books: Vindicación del cartesianismo radical (Anthropos, Barcelona, 2010), Hambre de Dios. Entre la filosofía, el cristianismo, y nuestra difícil y frágil laicidad (Fontamara, Mexico, 2013), Filosofía del arrabal (Anthropos, Barcelona, 2013), ¿Doscientos años de qué? O sobre nuestra ambigua relación con la Modernidad, con la filosofía y con las humanidades (Fontamara, Mexico, 2014), La religión de Descartes (Anthropos, Barcelona, 2015), El fin de la ciudad (Anthropos, Barcelona, 2016), Nos roban la universidad (Zacatecas, 2017), and Occidentes del Sentido / Sentidos de Occidente (with Jean-Luc Nancy, Anthropos, Barcelona, 2019). He has also coordinated the multi-author volumes Descartes vivo (Anthropos, Barcelona, 2007), Unamuno y nosotros (Anthropos, Barcelona, 2011) Unamuno, moderno y antimoderno (Fontamara, Mexico, 2012); Ortega pensador (Fontamara, Mexico, 2016), and Modernidad, postmodernidad, hipermodernidad… (Fontamara, Mexico, 2020).
