Since 1998 he has been Director of the City of Queretaro Museum and coordinator and programmer of its Cine Club. Since 2001 he has been one of the jury of the Expresión en Corto Festival, today the Guanajuato International Film Festival, and since 2007 a member of its Advisory Council. In 2022, he received the Germán Patiño Serán Award in Queretaro and the Corazón del Bajío Award in Guanajuato for his work promoting and disseminating culture in the region.
