Juan Manuel Robles in conversation with Paola Donaire

Venue: Teatro Colegio de Abogados
The writer and journalist Juan Manuel Robles (Peru) will talk to Patricia Donaire about his latest book. In 2017 he was included on the Bogotá39 list as one of the 39 best Latin American fiction writers aged under 40. Author of non-fiction, novels, essays and short stories, his most recent publication is Tragedia en Collins Avenue, an outstanding work of literary non-fiction that recreates the events of 24 June 2021 in Miami, when the Champlain Towers South building, a 13-storey block, collapsed, causing the death of 98 people. Robles uncovers a hidden world of corruption that lies below the surface in opulent Miami Beach, but also reveals the diversity of voices, cultures and nationalities that converge in this complex and moving story.
