Irene Vallejo (Spain) is the author of one of the most read Spanish-language non-fiction books in recent years, Papyrus: The Invention of Books in the Ancient World, published in 40 countries and selling over half a million copies. The work has been a publishing phenomenon and has received prestigious awards, including the 2020 National Prize for Non-fiction in Spain. This writer, academic and author of a lucid opinion column for El País newspaper, is one of the most followed intellectuals in the Spanish-speaking world.
