Lloyd’s Register Foundation is a global charity with a mission to engineer a safer world. Our Safer Oceans campaign aims to raise awareness and understanding of one of the world’s biggest safety challenges – keeping people safe at sea – and generate a sense of global urgency for action from governments, regulators, industry, NGOs, investors and other stakeholders to make our oceans safer and more sustainable. Given the increasing demands we are placing on ocean space and the risk of working in ever more extreme environments, our ambition is to create global partnerships and build programmes and initiatives that can better protect people from harm.
