Benzodiazepines, opioids... legal medicines that are regularly prescribed in medical consultations in so many countries on the continent. These legal drugs, together with alcohol, kill thousands of people every year, contribute to violence, and are controlled by wither pharmaceutical companies or, if not legal, by organized crime. Two authors from the region talk about an epidemic that affects us all.
