Ricardo Silva, winner of the 5th Biblioteca de Narrativa Colombiana Prize, is a writer, journalist, screenwriter and the author of novels, short stories, essay and poetry, as well as a columnist for various media outlets including Semana, SoHo, El Malpensante and El Tiempo. His most recent novel is Zoológico humano (2021), a work that tells the story of the late writer Simón Hernández on his journey through the universe in the afterlife, where he meets seven characters from different eras, lands and personal backgrounds, in a profound contemplation of the human condition from the viewpoint of a posthumous character.
