There are few economists as celebrated as the US Nobel laureate Paul Krugman, who won the award in 2008 for his contributions to New Trade Theory. A Doctor in Economics from MIT, Krugman has lectured at Yale, Stanford, MIT, New York University and the University of Princeton. He is the author of 27 books and has been a regular columnist for The New York Times since 1999. His most recent book is entitled Arguing with Zombies. Economics, Politics, and the Fight for a Better Future and is a collection of over 90 articles coving themes such as social security, trade wars, inequality and climate change, with a special emphasis on the economic results of Donald Trump’s policies. He will talk about his work and the current political and economic situation with Farid Kahhat.
