He has worked with directors such as Woody Allen, Ridley Scoot, the Coen Brothers, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Milos Forman, Michael Mann, Bigas Luna, Pedro Almodóvar, Alejandro Anemábar or Fernando León and has received, among other awards, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, five Goyas, a BAFTA and the award for Best Actor at the film festivals of Cannes, San Sebastián and, on two occasions, Venice.
