The publisher, writer and filmmaker Vanessa Springora presents her powerful first work, Le consentement, which is being translated into numerous languages. The novel shows us Vanessa Springora aged thirteen, when she meets Gabriel Matzneff, a writer 36 years older than her, who shows his intense feelings for her, blinding her to the predatory nature of what came afterwards. Three decades later, the author reflects on the story, questions the social context that surrounded it and the implications of that incipient and inexpert consent. In conversation with the Mexican writer Guadalupe Nettel.
