The multi-award winning writer, publisher and literary critic Bernardine Evaristo (United Kingdom) has published eight novels and is a keen activist in favour of multiracial inclusion in the creative industries. Her latest book, Girl, Woman, Other, shared the 2019 Booker Prize with Margaret Atwood. The novel relates the lives of black families in the United Kingdom through a transgenerational look at the stories of twelve protagonists, most of whom are black women. Since its Booker success, the work has been translated into over 30 languages.
