The word becomes flesh… and a poet emerges. Is he crazy? An outcast? A bum? We would have to ask ourselves, who is truly crazy? This play displays and presents this and other matters and shows us a mirror in which we can see the reflection of our hypocrisy, our double standards and our so-called lucidity. This monologue by the outstanding painter and writer from Arequipa Marcelo Martínez Gómez combines a series of reflections and disquisitions about the themes that preoccupy us the most: why we exist as humans, social classes, the nearness of death, poetry as a liberating force of the spirit. With Renato Ramírez, a young actor from Arequipa, a graduate of the Performing Arts Conservatory of the University of La Salle, who has participated in productions such as Ser o no ser (an adaptation of Hamlet), Máncora (an adaptation of Málaga, by Swiss author Lucas Bärfuss) and #Malditos16, by Nando López.
