The award-winning Peruvian writer Rafael Dumett studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica School of Theatre, as well as Linguistics and Literature at the same university. He is the author of El espía del inca, the story of a member of the Inca Empire’s secret service who is called upon to rescue the Emperor Atahualpa, who has been taken captive by a group of foreigners. This novel’s historical rigor is capable of transporting the reader to one of the most decisive moments in the history of Peru and indeed the whole of the Americas: the conquest of Inca territory.
