Hay Festival Classics: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in conversation with Alma Guillermoprieto

Querétaro 2020,

Hay Festival Classics relaunches a series of unforgettable events from different Hay Festivals, with some of the most outstanding guests on the contemporary international scene. With a fresh perspective and subtitles in Spanish, we present conversations that will never grow old. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (Nigeria) is a key author to read for a full understanding of contemporary literature. The writer who gave the world novels such as Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, is the author of one of the most popular and widely read essays in recent years, We Should All Be Feminists. Adichie analyses the close relationship between journalism and literary output, taking the reflections of Gabriel García Márquez as a starting point, in a talk that builds bridges in terms of literature produced in the global South. At the 2019 Hay Festival Cartagena, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie spoke to Alma Guillermoprieto.
