The novelist Nicole Krauss (United States) presents her fourth novel, Forest Dark, which brings together characters who, in different ways, are ready to leave behind their old lives with the goal of personal transformation. After the death of his parents, the successful New York lawyer Jules Epstein ends his marriage, sells his apartment and, without leaving notice, travels to Israel where he moves into the Tel Aviv Hilton. Nicole, a Brooklyn writer suffering from creative block while her marriage goes through a crisis, decides to visit the same hotel, where she has spent many holidays, inspired by the story of an old man who died there, in order to writer her new novel.
