Melba Escobar, Margarita García Robayo and Marta Orriols in conversation with Eduardo Riestra

Cartagena 2020,

Melba Escobar (Colombia) is the author of La mujer que hablaba sola, the story of Cecilia Palacios, the mother of Pedro, who is responsible for an accident in a shopping centre that leaves 17 injured and three dead. Cecilia reflects on motherhood with her son approaching adulthood, when he will have to face the consequences of his actions. Margarita García Robayo (Colombia) writes in the grey area between reality and fiction in her book of short stories Primera persona. Marta Orriols (Spain) has written the novel Aprender a hablar con las plantas about Paula Cid, a woman who, when dealing with the death of her husband, finds out he was about to leave her. Three authors who challenge narrative conventions will talk to Eduardo Riestra.
