The Argentinean-Canadian writer, publisher and translator Alberto Manguel is a member of the UK’s Royal Society of Literature and of the Argentinean Academy of Letters. As a young man he used to read books out loud to Jorge Luis Borges, who had gone blind. His extensive body of work includes over 40 books of stories, novels, biography and non-fiction. His most recent publication is Curiosity (2019), a kind of history of and reflection on human curiosity, which lies behind all kinds of invention and ingenuity; and on his own curiosity, which has helped to make him one of the most interesting writers of our time. He will talk to Juan Gabriel Vásquez.
