The writer, publisher and journalist Marie Arana (Peru-United States) studied Russian Language and Literature at Northwestern University and did a Master’s in Linguistics and Socio-linguistics at Hong Kong University. She has been Vice-president and Senior Editor at Simon & Schuster, Chief Writer of the book section of The Washington Post and is a member of the Academic Council of the US Library of Congress. She has recently published a Spanish-language edition of the incisive biographical work Bolivar.The Epic Life of the Man Who Liberated South America. She will talk to William Ospina.
