Edward Wilson-Lee lectures in Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, where he has won important research grants. His latest work is The Catalogue of Shipwrecked Books: Christopher Columbus, His Son and the Quest to Build the World’s Greatest Library, the biography of Columbus’s youngest son, Hernando, whose goal was to equal or even surpass his father’s achievements by creating a universal library with the knowledge organized in a way that would be familiar even to us in the digital era. He will talk about this fascinating story with Carolina Robino.
