Alys Conran is the recipient of the 2019-20 Creative Wales Hay Festival International Fellowship / Cymrawd Rhyngwladol Cymru Greadigol – Hay Festival 2019-20, as part of which she is participating at all the Hay festivals for a year; her latest novel, Dignity, is about belonging, the racial question, British India and Great Britain.
