Luis Jochamowitz is one of Peru’s most important investigative journalists. Since the 1980s he has worked for a range of media publications. In 1993 he published his first book, Ciudadano Fujimori, about the construction of this politician’s image and providing the little known biography of the man who was president of the republic. He is also the author of the biography Vladimiro: Vida y tiempo de un corruptor, a novel republished in 2019. This is a careful piece of research that reconstructs the rise and fall of one of the most obscure figures in Peruvian politics. In conversation with Marco Sifuentes.
