Can the profession of writer be taught? Alys Conran and Giovanna Pollarolo in conversation with Juan Manuel Robles

Arequipa 2019,

Alys Conran (United Kingdom) is the recipient of the Cymrawd Rhyngwladol Cymru Greadigol – Hay Festival 2019-20 / Creative Wales Hay Festival International Fellowship 2019-20; she has published the novels Pigeon and Dignity, as well as a number of poems and short stories, and currently teaches creative writing in the Welsh city of Bangor. Giovanna Pollarolo (Peru) has published three poetry books, a book of short stories and two novels, the latest being Toda la culpa la tiene Mario (2016); she has also worked on theatre and film scripts, and currently lectures full time at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In conversation with Juan Manuel Robles, Conran and Pollarolo will talk about that great question, is a writer born or made?
