The Mandarache Award and Leer El Caribe project have something in common: they are both projects that aim to promote reading and they attract thousands of students and teachers every year in the two twinned towns of Cartagena -in Colombia and Spain- to focus on the work of contemporary writers. On this occasion Juan Carlos Méndez Guédez (El baile de madame Kalalú, Mandarache) and Julio Olaciregui (Leer El Caribe) will discuss their work and the importance of reading with Rosalba Tejeda Mendoza. They will have an open dialogue with the audience and the students that have taken part in both projects through the initiative Orillas Mandarache.
