The prize-winning Cuban author, journalist, screenplay writer and literary critic Leonardo Padura again gives life to the detective Mario Conde in his novel La transparencia del tiempo. The statuette of a virgin stolen in the Catalan Pyrenees, a Spaniard fleeing from the Civil War, foreign gallerists and collectors, and other characters of dubious reputation combine historic and crime fiction, set between contemporary Havana and the Europe of last century. Leonardo Padura will be in conversation with the journalist Javier Moreno.
