She holds a PhD in Politics from the University of British Columbia. She is currently a lecturer at the Catholic University of Peru and a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research at Tulane University. She researches and teaches on natural resource governance, informal economies and state development.
