Her civil name is María Kuiru Castro. She is the sixth daughter of the Kuiru family and has always been a social and environmental leader in her community. Her passion for audiovisual and communication media has led her to study film and to explore this format through a long process of feedback inside and outside the territory. Together with the Women's Association, she managed to consolidate the first Makayao Film Club, with the objective of awakening in indigenous children a greater empowerment towards what is their own, from a very broad view of culture, art and technological media.
