From the indigenous community of Santiago Azajo, Michoacán, and speaks the P'urhépecha language. She has a degree in History from the History Faculty of the Universidad Michoacana in San Nicolás de Hidalgo and a Master's in the History of Mexico from the same university; she has also studied textile crafts (cross-stitch embroidery). She is the translator of the book Diez cuentos de Hans Christian Andersen en purépecha. She has appeared at national, international and community conferences. In 2018 she obtained the Padre de la Patria Award, in 2019 the COPARMEX Award for educational excellence and in 2021 she was awarded the Morelian Youth Merit accolade.
